The trends in this town have always astounded me. Once, it was eyebrow rings. Later, cutting the shoulders out of long-sleeved shirts. But every once in a while, the item of the hour legitimately frightens me; this is one of those times. You see, the latest trend is digging up old bottles of poison and discovering whether it becomes less toxic with age. In case you were wondering, it usually doesn't. It seems that my new occupation as coroner will never cease to get more interesting. Before I moved here, I thought that no job could be less eventfully than working with the dead. It turns out, most of them used to be the dumb and living

In my creative writing class, we wrote a short story that had to involve the word 'poison,' and this is what I came up with after some editing.
