Alone
deep
within the ancient forest sits
one
lonesome grave
withered and weathered
forgotten with time.

It’s only visitors compose of
flickering slivers of
faint light
escaped form swaying trees above.
And sneaky s h a d o w s,
that prowl somberly.

W h i s p e r i n g
wind
taunts the grievous grave
mocking and murmuring
as if to say
forever bound in sadness
alone.

This piece was a creative writing assignment. Whenever people read this poem, I hope that the mood of it comes across strong.
