She’s hidden beneath the undergrowth,
the stillness of the dark has become her only ally,
silence her only companion.
There she lies stiff, and forgotten,
as she’s buried with an untold truth.
Up above she hears the hushed tones of the living.
A familiar voice looms over her new home,
causing her unsettled bones to rattle.
For she knows her blood,
will forever be stained on the stranger’s hand.
