Another digital painting!
I was thinking about Edgar Allan Poe a few days ago and it had me thinking about 7th grade and how we all read "The Raven" so I wanted to try drawing a bird, close to a raven but not exactly one. (And yeah....it's totally not a raven xD)
I added the girl because I really want to make my portraits realistic. I had her face complexion planned out for awhile, a paleish green with maroon/plum shadows to give it an almost fantasy feel. Whether this is concept art worthy, I don't know but it sure was fun to do and I think its the most realistic work I've done so far.
Photoshop Cs3, 3ish days. A lot of editing and fixing went into this, adding details here and there.
