Immerse yourself in an accelerated Marine Biology/Environmental Studies program on the University of New England's scenic campus on the Maine coast. Experience college life on the Maine coast. Gain an overview of the Marine Sciences and Environmental Sciences major at UNE and meet our faculty. Earn 3 college credits in two weeks.

In this program, students study marine habitats like salt marshes, barrier beaches, rocky coastlines, and the open ocean. They discuss important topics of ecological concern, such as local endangered species and pollution. Participants learn about marine ecosystems in the field and in the lab and take a close look at everything from the microscopic phytoplankton to the mighty whale. CME students become familiar with laboratory research skills and spend much time in the field researching marine creatures and habitats. Free time is spent meeting new people, make lasting friendships, and have fun on fieldtrips, including a whale watch, beach trips, and a visit to Portland's "Old Port."
