I am a writer, and I have a story to tell. This writer’s retreat gives girls who love to write the opportunity to flex their writing muscles. Grades 8 - 11 residential program at Emma Willard School.

Summer english immersion program

Intended for international girls ages 12 through 17 seeking an American experience this summer to improve their English skills. The four-week intensive English instruction program is held each summer for up to 30 girls from all over the world. The camp combines Emma Willard School’s reputation for focused study with fun and exciting weekend and evening activities designed to provide the girls with a sense of American culture.

writer’s retreat

The Writer’s Retreat is a boarding program for budding young writers. Focused on increasing writing skills, the program combines specialized and fun writing instruction with activities and field trips outside the classroom to help young women find their voice through writing.

girlsummer

GirlSummer is a summer day camp first developed by faculty members of Emma Willard School and offers girls ages 6 to 14 an athletic experience comparable to sports camps combined with extensive offerings in art, dance, drama and writing. This coming summer, we will be adding a hands on science component to the program.

rosie’s girls

Emma Willard School is the first school in New York State to offer the Rosie’s Girls summer program. Rosie’s Girls, a summer day camp offers rising 7th- to 9th-grade girls instruction in carpentry, automotive repair, masonry and other non-traditional trades. Combining hands-on instruction in skilled trades with lots of art activities and games, the program supports girls in finding their own strength, power and confidence in a fun, positive atmosphere.
