Annual Fiction Contest
From "Once upon a time ..." and the Wild West, to storybook romances and alien invasions - TeenInk's Annual Fiction Contest has it all! Each year at least three teen authors are honored for outstanding fiction writing.

Art & Photography Contest
Calling all artists and photographers! Enter TeenInk's monthly Art & Photography Contest and win the chance to showcase your creative work in a national magazine. Each month at least two teens are honored for outstanding artwork and/or photography.

Community Service Awards
What do you do to make your community a better place? How has volunteering changed you and the way you view the world? Write an essay describing your experiences and win $100 for yourself and $100 for your favorite charity.

Educator of the Year Contest
Do you know an outstanding junior/senior high school teacher, coach, guidance counselor, librarian or principal? Nominate that special teacher you'll always remember and give him/her the chance to be recognized in a national magazine!

Environmental Solutions Contest
Do you have a creative plan to stop pollution? Have you found a way to encourage recycling in your neighborhood? Share your idea to solve an environmental problem or describe a current solution. Contest winners receive $25 and are published in TeenInk magazine.

Interview Contest
Enter the Teen Ink Interview Contest and win an opportunity to interview a celebrity! Contest winners are selected throughout the year. Recent celebrity interviews include George Lucas, Senator John Glenn, Andrew Shue, Hillary Clinton and Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Annual contests open to the general public in Script writing, Novel, Short Story, Poetry and Nonfiction (articles, essays and nonfiction book proposals). Winners of past contests have been published, and received film options on their projects.

Skipping Stones Annual Youth Honor Awards
Ten awards are given to student groups and youth 7 to 17. Annual themes center around cultural diversity, intercultural experiences, nature, ecology, resource conservation, social issues, peace and non-violence. Non-English writings are equally welcome.

The Ayn Rand Annual Essay Contests
Sponsored by The Ayn Rand Institute. Students in grades 9-12 must read Ayn Rand's novel Anthem or The Fountainhead and write an essay on one of three topics. Forty seven prizes and $35,000 in total prize money goes to the top essays.

The Concord Review's Ralph Waldo Emerson Prize
Sponsored by the first and only journal in the world for the academic work of secondary students of history. Each Emerson Prize laureate receives a check for $3,000 and the letter of award for student work of outstanding academic promise.

The Writing Conference: Writing Contest
Sponsors annual writing contests in poetry, narration, and exposition for elementary, middle and high school students. This year's topic, scoring guides and guidelines are available online.
