I dream of a day when I can walk down the street and not bestared
at by people as if I were a circus animal.

I dream of a day whenI can assemble with a group of my peers
and not be approached by thepolice.

I dream of a day when I am considered equal to other menwithout
having to display my intellectual capabilities.

I dream of aday when I can stand next to people without them
clutching at their purses orchecking for their wallets.

When that day arrives, I will dream nomore.

Until then, I will be satisfied being A Black Man Who Dreams.
