Teen Ink Blogs

By Erin F., Littleton, MA

   You lean back

The chair swivels beneath

Your long, lean body

A cigarette rests between

Your cool, silky lips

And a piercing, heated smile

Curls them against your

Pale skin

A smile so pacified

So self-assured

So convinced of itself

But it is in those eyes

They

Speak of your dissatisfaction

They

Fill with your soul

Your dark blue eyes

Shadowed by dark gold

And your cocksure brows

And your absolute

Arrogance

and

Certain mouth

You can only hide for so long
