Soft snow crunches
Under rubber soles and
Forms circularglobes in
Black gloves
There is no way to be
Silent

Yet,
Iturn around
And there is no
Sound
Snow falls on the car,
The trees,the house,
Trying not to make
The slightest whisper
Falling gently on myhair
Only to melt into brown wisps.

I lie on the crunching ground
Tolook at the falling flakes
It is too bright to stare at the sky
But I watchthe falling
With eyes closed
Breathing in the atmosphere
And feel theflakes come
Down
Down
Down
