By Ryan R., Lexington, KY

Rest in peace my withered mind, for eight to three is not our time
A defiant trance, not one care, a blank unwilling, heedless stare
This hell that you're forced to endure, for this pain there is no cure
Find sanctity in lethargic bliss; forget your strife in thoughtlessness

As we wait for a dark chime to move us from our shackled state,
We find a tyrant preaching on , her daunting presence we must abate
She lingers there as she spouts her creed, this chorus of lies I do not need
Appease my foe, I will not: I won't give a single dime
My friends and family heed me caution but thoughtlessness is not a crime

So return to your mindless droning, your oppressive voice oh so bland
One more order, another demand, and it's your fate I will command
Just stay within your fake empire, lest your undoing you desire
And leave me be in that lethargic bliss, forever I'll remain in thoughtlessness
