Breath
I offended Father Time today
Nothing finished
My clock took vengeance against me
Excruciatingly slow
Horrifyingly fast
Breath
I insulted Mother Nature today
The roots snatch at my feet
The leaves guarding their passage
And I don’t have the key
Breath
I mocked Lady Luck today
Didn’t win at school
Lost miserably at home
Weighted dice
Casino slots
Breath
They say that God loves you
But I guess today
He ran out of red candy hearts
Breath
Running away from everything
With my only companion that I didn’t mock
It blows me away
My particles scattered among the universe
To find
Father Time
Mother Nature
Lady Luck
And
God
So maybe tomorrow
Everything will be right again
