Ithas been a year.
I can remember
Every second of that day.
The words Iused
To explain it all to you.
All of my racing thoughts
As I thoughtabout the pills.
I know the person
Who pulled me out of class.
Theambulance
That I didn't have to take.
I loved my mom
For not yelling,but we cried.
I remember the ride
All the way to the hospital.
I knowthey treated me like that because
They get that all the time
And I'm sorryfor what I did.
I know the blond hair
Of the woman with theclipboard.
All of her questions
All of the answers.
I can remember thehours
That we had to wait in the ER
I know the tears
As I was leftthere alone.
The forty days
Changing and accepting.
My fear, battlingwars against myself.
I know it all now, a year later
And I am sorry forwhat I did.
