Anthony H.’s “Material Nation” was an interesting piece. I believe that America’s status as a materialistic nation is a concept that not enough people understand.

I agree with Anthony when he says that people have begun to “take less joy in the simple pleasures of life.” I feel that the hype over technology has created a situation where Americans feel the need to be a part of it. The media plays a huge role in this, but it is still our responsibility not become slaves to this fad.
