I found this article really depressing. It is hard for me to think that a 12-year-old would start doing drugs and drinking beer. Where does a 12-year-old even get that stuff? It is so sad that he saw some of his friends die from Ecstasy and drunk driving only to continue doing it himself. Taking drugs in the first place is a bad move, but then to see your friends die and continue to take drugs, that just doesn’t make sense.

“Addicted” really points out how careless some schools can be. The kid must have been introduced to this stuff by kids at school, because I don’t think a 12-year-old would be wandering the streets. Schools should be doing more to keep their campuses drug-free. Otherwise, more and more kids will get a hold of these substances and ruin their lives if they aren’t careful.
