By Paige B., Plainfield, IL

Many people don’t take the time to be courteous. Frances, author of “Talk to (Some) Strangers,” does a good job of portraying our world. I like that she took the time to write this piece and share her experience of thinking about saving a stranger’s life but being paralyzed by fear and indecision.

After reading this story, I thought of the times I have passed by someone instead of reaching out to help. Many times we look the other way instead of lending a hand because of discomfort. It makes you wonder why helping someone is so difficult.
