By Angel W., Ravenna, OH

I enjoyed “Hurricane Katrina” by Maggie because I have a friend from Louisiana who went through a lot when she moved to our town. She didn’t have any friends at our school and no one would talk to her except her foster family and me. She became one of my best friends and I could tell her anything.

Maggie’s story was full of emotion and I’m happy she realized that hiding emotions is not strength, but makes everything worse.
