Life is abundantbelow the murky
surface of the Missouri River.

Northern Pikeaggressively
snatch passing specimens
as the current swooshesby.

Paddlefish patiently feed
from the depths of the
fruitfulriver.

Bang
Bang
Bang
The current pounds against
monstrouscrying walls and
suddenly water vapor engulfs my
nostrils withflavor.
Water particles
begin to pound
against my skin sending
coldsensations up
and down my spine.
These particles pass
byleaving
Red
Orange
Yellow
And
Blue
dancing in the eveningsky.
Below this
unique atmosphere,
life is lethargic.
Numerous fishlazily
lay on the river's bed.
The current roars
like a crazy dream andyour
pounding
pounding
trying to escape.
Then suddenly
pebblescrush this
solemn atmosphere.
The fish rapidly jet away.
