Nature
limp with early summer heat
fine fat green stalks
withwater-filled veins
keep tiny finger-fuzzy kernels
sharp at touches of a
soft groping hand
as skin catcheson
seemingly smoothspace
shivering my legs
like some soothing lover's hand
liquid-rigidstalks
give even to the wind
on an empty-filled
manmade mound
wherebuttercupsclump
for lackofspace
and only the grass competes
in a race italways wins
all in the same breath of air
