Hiking in Yosemite. Strolling through Paris. Celebrating Chinese New Year. Describe your latest cultural adventures at home or abroad!
Winning stories are published in Teen Ink magazine and contest winners receive a copy of the magazine featuring their work. Plus, they’ll have the opportunity to choose from an exciting selection of Teen Ink merchandise – apparel and other items – available exclusively from Teen Ink.
Teen Ink will only consider original essays and poems written by teens. Essays should be between 500 and 2,500 words, and writing must relate in some way to travel or world culture. Feel free to include photos, though it is not required.
Describe an exciting experience you had visiting a new state or country. Tell us what it was like to host a foreign exchange student. Share your first memory of learning about a different culture.
Submit entries through our website or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. All fiction pieces submitted to Teen Ink are automatically considered for the contest. See our submission guidelines for more information.
There are no deadlines for this contest. Entries are accepted and considered for publication in Teen Ink magazine and online throughout the year. Winners are announced in June.
