The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

By Marissa F., Pleasant Grove, UT

Ann Brashares provides an emotional and enjoyable tale of four teenage girls who form their own sisterhood in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Each has her own story to tell about downfalls and triumphs. The pants, which somehow perfectly fit each girl, are passed from one to the other throughout the summer, giving each a sense of bravery and pride as they wear them. The story is full of personality and fun!

One of the major plots is how Tibby goes through something she did not expect so soon: the death of someone close to her. The book details how she deals with the situation. It will make you cry, laugh and smile. You will travel the journey with her and all the others in the sisterhood.

I found some parts a little less intriguing than others, but this is a great book that I really enjoyed. I recommend this as an ideal book for any teenage girl who likes to read fun, cute books.
